Measures have been taken to regulate the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons staying in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic

By the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic of 22 May 2025 UP No. 164, foreign citizens and stateless persons staying in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic in violation of the migration legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic are given the opportunity to regularise their legal status in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic until 10 June 2025.

It is determined that a foreign citizen or stateless person who has an expired visa or residence permit or whose residence permit has been cancelled, who lacks documents confirming the right to stay (registration, work permit), or who uses such documents with expired terms, or who evades leaving the Kyrgyz Republic upon expiration of the period of legal stay, or who stays in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic for a purpose that does not correspond to the one declared upon entry, or who does not comply with the provisions of the migration legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Decree enters into force from the date of its official publication.
